There are a lot of NFL players that would prefer not to participate in the Pro Bowl.
They all want to get the honor of being selected, but playing there means you’re not playing for the actual prize.
Notably, that’s going to be the case with a couple of stars from the Detroit Lions.
Now that they will no longer be in contention for the Vince Lombardi trophy, young stars Amon Ra-St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs can partake in the festivities.
The team announced that the wide receiver would fill in for the injured A.J. Brown, while Gibbs will take Christian McCafrrey’s spot as he prepares to play in the Super Bowl.

The Lions were so close to making it to the big game for the first time in franchise history.
They were up 17 points in the second half and had multiple chances to put up more points on the scoreboard, yet coach Dan Campbell opted to go for it on fourth down twice and left points on the field.
Even so, this team is still young and hungry, and they proved that they were no fluke.
They can go toe-to-toe with any team in the league, the Niners included.
Hopefully, Campbell will learn from his mistakes, and you know he’s going to have his team ready to compete at the highest level from the very first game of the upcoming campaign.
