The San Francisco 49ers are arguably the most stacked team in the National Football League.
However, even good things can get better, and GM John Lynch is well aware of that.
That’s why he keeps lurking in the shadows and making low-risk/high-reward moves.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Niners just agreed to sign veteran offensive lineman Chris Hubbard.
The veteran is back to full strength and is now a big rotation piece for the team, and getting him at just $1.375 million was the icing on the cake.
The #49ers have signed FA OT Chris Hubbard to a 1-year, $1.375M deal, source said. Added veteran depth.

Hubbard made it to the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of UAB in 2013, getting the nod with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 6-foot-4, 295-pound specimen started nine games for the Tennessee Titans last season.
Unfortunately, a biceps injury landed him on the Injured Reserve (IR) list late in November.
Playing mostly as a right tackle but also being able to play at guard and even at center if needed, he allowed just four sacks and 18 quarterback pressures last season, playing 473 offensive snaps and 292 pass-blocking snaps.
The 33-year-old has made 94 appearances throughout the course of his career, playing for the Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Titans, and now Niners.
San Francisco is fresh off a failed trip to the Super Bowl.
Despite having the most talented roster in the game, this franchise hasn’t been able to shake the monkey off their backs, and they hope to put their woes behind them once and for all in their revenge season in 2024.
