The San Francisco 49ers suffered a massive blow in the Super Bowl.
Star LB Dre Greenlaw suffered a torn Achilles early in the game, and his absence may have been a decisive factor in the loss.
It’s been three months since that day, and Greenlaw is still dealing with that emotional burden.
In a recent interview with Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, he revealed that he still sheds a couple of tears when he thinks about it.
“Sometimes you get a little flashback and shed a couple of tears thinking about it,” Greenlaw said.

Greenlaw sustained the injury in the second quarter and was forced to miss the remainder of the game.
With his team on the losing end of the big game, Greenlaw underwent surgery four days later.
GM John Lynch recently claimed that Greenlaw would most likely enter the season on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, which means he’ll miss at least the first month of the regular season.
And with the Niners looking at another deep postseason trip, they won’t rush him to the field until he’s 100% back to full strength.
