We’ve officially reached the most crucial stretch of the NFL season.
It’s win-or-go-home time, and for some franchises, not even winning out might be enough to reach the promised land.
As shown by PFF, as many as five teams could join the Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots in the pool of teams already eliminated from playoff contention: the Arizona Cardinals, Washington Commanders, Tennesse Titans, New York Jets, and Los Angeles Chargers.

The Cardinals have looked better since Kyler Murray made his return, but they were never expected to compete at a high level this season, with some even speculating that they could look to trade Murray.
The Commanders have been up and down this season, alternating big wins with head-scratching losses, and it seems like the end of the Ron Rivera era is just around the corner.
The Titans turned to Will Levis too late, and while he’s shown flashes of great play, they weren’t able to overcome that subpar start to the season.
The Jets would love to stay in contention, as Aaron Rodgers is just two weeks away from making his long-awaited debut, albeit it might come with his team out of postseason contention.
As for the Chargers, they’re fresh off allowing 63 points from the Las Vegas Raiders, which is perhaps a new low in franchise history, and that’s a lot to say.
Even so, these teams might not be able to make the playoffs but that doesn’t mean they can’t play spoiler to other postseason hopeful franchises.
