Being the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys comes with a unique set of challenges.
When the team is good, this is a great role to have, but when the team struggles, the quarterback tends to get a lot of pushback from fans.
Dak Prescott is no stranger to this rollercoaster of emotions, as he has experienced it throughout his career.
He is often blamed for many of the Cowboys’ shortcomings, especially when they fall short of their goals in the playoffs.
There were talks that the team would move on from Prescott in the offseason, but the team has shown nothing but support towards Prescott, indicating that he is their quarterback for the foreseeable future.
Prescott was recently seen in a walking boot, which immediately caused fans to question his health, and what this might mean for him heading into the 2024 season.
He addressed these concerns in a recent interview, which was shared by Jon Machota on Twitter.
“Literally, it’s absolutely nothing, that’s why. People are reaching, trying to make things that they aren’t. I’m getting older, have to take care of my body and be smart. If I can take precautions and lessening something by wearing the boot, I’m going to do it,” Prescott said.

If Prescott’s comments are genuine, he was in a boot for precautionary reasons, not because an old injury was flaring up.
It will be interesting to see what his participation is like at training camp.
If he’s a full go, fans will have nothing to worry about, but if he misses any time, it could be a sign that Prescott’s injury is back and could limit him when the season starts.
