The Jacksonville Jaguars got a huge road win on a short week.
They’ve done a lot of traveling lately, winning back-to-back games in London before heading back home to face the Indianapolis Colts, and then hitting the road again to face the New Orleans Saints.
Notably, the biggest part about that win was the fact that it came with Trevor Lawrence far from 100%.
The former No. 1 pick suffered a knee injury late in the win over the Colts, and he was a game-time decision leading up to the game.
He was able to suit up and play with a brace on his knee, which is why it was kind of surprising to see him rushing for a career-high 56 yards.
When asked about that, Lawrence stated that it obviously wasn’t the plan, but sometimes instincts just take over, adding that he was thankful for being able to make those plays without pain or re-aggravating the injury (via Ed Werder).
Trevor Lawrence with a sprained knee, protective brace, led Jaguars in rushing with career-high 59 yards.

Scrambling isn’t anything new to Lawrence, who’s always been a dual threat in the open field or near the endzone.
Dennis Allen and the Saints’ defensive play-calling also opened up plenty of lanes in the center of the field for him to take off, perhaps thinking he wasn’t going to scramble because of his limited mobility.
The Jaguars have now won four games in a row and five overall this season, looking like a big dark horse to come out of the AFC.
Fortunately for Lawrence and Doug Pederson, they’ll have 10 days to get back to full strength before another road game, this time vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers.
