The New Orleans Saints took a huge gut punch recently with the announcement that All-Pro offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk will miss the entire 2024 season due to a knee injury.
After seeing the club move him to the PUP List, former NFL offensive lineman and current analyst Ross Tucker believes this is bigger than just Ramczyk missing the season.
“It would probably be an upset or a surprise if he ever comes back to play football again…Then for the Saints, this is a major problem,” Tucker recently stated on the Ross Tucker Podcast.

Losing Ramczyk is a tough pill to swallow for a Saints team that will need all of its best players available come the start of the season.
The former first-round pick has been a staple with the organization since he was drafted back in 2017.
At a position such as offensive tackle, the knees are everything.
If you are not healthy in your legs, you cannot block 260-pound edge-rushers coming at you full speed.
This is also not the first time that a great offensive lineman has been derailed by lingering knee injuries.
Former Green Bay Packers All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari was one of the best in the game before recurring knee injuries put a halt to a possible Hall-of-Fame career and a potential Super Bowl run for the Packers in 2020 and 2021.
Look for New Orleans to try and find a way around losing Ramczyk with multiple, different starting lineups prepared.
But in the end, the bottom line is that the Saints are not as good without Ramczyk in that huddle.
