The Arizona Diamondbacks had their backs against the wall heading into Game 3 of the NLCS.
They were trailing 0-2 and headed home for a must-win game.
Arizona called on rookie starting pitcher Brandon Pfaadt to slow down the hottest lineup in baseball.
Pfaadt dominated the Philadelphia Phillies for 5.2 innings, allowing only two hits while striking out nine.
He left the game when it was tied, 0-0.
Opposite of the first two games, Game 3 was a pitcher’s duel.
The game was tied, 1-1, entering the bottom of the ninth inning.
The Phillies sent closer Craig Kimbrel to the mound, and the D-Backs had his number.
The team condensed the entire bottom of the ninth into one video on Twitter.

Kimbrel was only able to get one out in the inning before giving up the game-winning single to Ketel Marte.
With their backs against the wall, Arizona answered the call.
But, they still need to find a way to tie the series.
Game 4 will feature a bullpen game for both teams.
The starting pitchers for both sides are making their first starts of the postseason.
This is a game that can truly go either way.
For the D-Backs to win they will need to slow down the Phillies bats once again.
Pfaddt had them off balance and part of that is because it was their first time facing the rookie.
Maybe the more unfamiliar pitchers the D-Backs throw at the Phillies, the more success they will have.
Game 4 is another must-win for Arizona as they hope to even up the series.
