The Chicago Bears are going to have a lot of eyes on them during the 2024 NFL season after they took Caleb Williams first overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Williams represents the best chance for the Bears to get back to the playoffs in years and he is already turning heads during training camp.
However, it isn’t just Williams who will be worth watching on the offensive end as he’s also got a skilled receiver group in DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze and Cole Kmet.
Meanwhile, his running back room is also stacked with D’Andre Swift, Roschon Johnson and Khalil Herbert.
At this point of training camp, teams will continue to look for depth pieces to supplement their rosters and with that in mind, Chicago is working out former Carolina Panthers running back Spencer Brown via Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.
“Former #Panthers @UABFootballAlum running back Spencer Brown works out for #Bears today, per a league source,” Wilson reported.

After going undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft, Brown signed with the Panthers and largely stayed on their practice squad before finally being waived.
He was waived earlier in this offseason by Carolina due to roster cuts, but now has a chance to stick with the Chicago organization if he performs well in camp.
It’s quite the long shot for him to make the final roster, though he could wind up on the Bears’ practice squad and serve as depth.
However, Swift figures to be the bellcow back for the offense during the 2024 season.
