Despite all the new faces on the roster, the Los Angeles Rams have managed to remain competitive through six weeks of the 2023 NFL season.
The Rams sit at 3-3 and remain in the mix for a Wild Card spot in the NFC, though they’ll have a tricky matchup on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Like Los Angeles, Pittsburgh has been a feisty squad as they’ve picked up some impressive wins despite their inconsistency on both sides of the ball.
The Steelers’ offense leaves much to be desired, though the defense has been solid and comes up with game-changing plays seemingly every week.
Playing against Pittsburgh is a special matchup for Aaron Donald who grew up watching the team and went to college there.
When asked whether or not he’d ever suit up for the Steelers, Donald said he couldn’t see it via the Rams’ YouTube account.
Donald reveals that he’s never given it much thought to play for his hometown team which should be a sigh of relief for Los Angeles fans who’ve embraced the former Defensive Player of the Year as one of their own.
The All-Pro defensive tackle remains one of the league’s best overall players and has had a solid 2023 season even if the stats may not jump off the page.
Donald is working with a lot less than he is used to as the Rams try to groom the next era of players in the organization.
Still, Donald remains the key focal point for any offensive gameplan and the Steelers know very well not to let him wreck their afternoon.
