The 2024 NFL Draft is likely in the rearview for the majority of fans.
In fact, many analysts have already started prepping for the 2025 draft, hoping to get a leg up on their analysis of upcoming prospects.
Despite the draft happening a few months ago at this point, recent information has surfaced about one team’s approach that wasn’t previously known.
Ari Meirov recently shared a video that the Indianapolis Colts offered three picks to the New York Giants for the No. 6 overall pick, but, unfortunately for the Colts, the Giants were unwilling to budge.
The #Colts offered No. 15, No. 46, and a 2025 2nd to move up to No. 6 with the #Giants in April’s draft. GM Joe Schoen wouldn’t move back that far.#Jets also made a call, but their offer wasn’t shown.
My guess: Colts wanted Bowers. Jets wanted Odunze. pic.twitter.com/zAl2VloYv5

Meirov believes that the Colts wanted to draft Brock Bowers, but this opinion is merely speculative.
Conventional wisdom might indicate that the Colts wanted to acquire another pass-catcher due to how stacked the class was, but it’s difficult to know their genuine intentions at this point.
The Colts are looking to build their team around Anthony Richardson, and, as evidenced by this video, they were willing to move a lot of pieces to make that happen.
It will be interesting to see if they make any moves before the season begins, or, at this point, if they’ll choose to move forward with the players they already have on the roster.
The Colts managed to put together a solid season in 2023 despite Richardson’s injury.
Assuming he’s fully healthy this year, there is a real chance they could contend for the division title, even though the Houston Texans once again look to be strong competition.
