Player-turned-analyst Dan Orlovsky has been spewing hot takes lately like they are going out of style and is clearly working overtime to empty his chamber before the NFL season starts.
He recently provided fans with his list of the top five NFC quarterbacks, and two of the names he kept off the list are sure to get people talking.
Orlovsky recently appeared on “Get Up” on ESPN and shared his updated list of the top five quarterbacks in the NFC, naming Matthew Stafford at No. 1, followed by Jordan Love, Brock Purdy, Kirk Cousins and Jared Goff.

Most notably absent from the list were Jalen Hurts and Dak Prescott.
When asked about Prescott’s absence, Orlovsky said, “I wouldn’t change anything with the top five,” and joked that everyone should stop asking for top-5 lists given how many good quarterbacks there are in the league.
Orlovsky added that Goff is in his top five because he trusts him more in a big game than he trusts Prescott, and he left out Hurts because he played poorly for much of this past season.
The other members of the show openly laughed at him for this list, but it’s actually quite reasonable.
Goff just led the Detroit Lions, of all teams, to the NFC Championship Game and very nearly to the Super Bowl, while Prescott fell to 2-5 in the playoffs in his career after a miserable performance against Love and the Green Bay Packers.
Hurts will have to prove he can consistently be as good as he was in 2022 when he led his Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl.
Though his colleagues laughed at him, this is a solid top five from Orlovsky.
