All eyes were on the Denver Broncos heading into training camp.

The Broncos received Wilson in a trade with the New York Jets.
At the time, this just seemed to be a move to acquire another backup quarterback, but with Payton’s comments in mind, he could end up being more than that.
Wilson, of course, didn’t work out with the Jets, and when the team brought in Aaron Rodgers, it was clear that his path to starting was slim to none.
Now that he is with the Broncos, anything can happen.
For a team that has struggled as much as they have in recent seasons, they might willing to give anyone a try under center, which includes Wilson.
