The Las Vegas Raiders traded for superstar wideout Davante Adams last season to reunite him with his best friend and quarterback from college, Derek Carr.
But now that Carr is no longer on the team and Adams is not getting involved as much as he wants in the passing game, it’s hard to justify his presence on the team.
That’s why former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky said on ESPN’s “Get Up” that the Raiders are just wasting Adams’ career, even urging him to ask for a trade while he still can.
Orlovsky believes his Hall of Fame career is just going to waste on a “bad football team” in Sin City, adding that there isn’t any certainty about who’s going to be playing quarterback there (via JPAFootball).

Adams has already made his frustrations known, talking about the fact that he is there to make plays, not to be a decoy.
Jimmy Garoppolo has never been known for his strong arm or letting the football rip down the field, and Adams isn’t there to catch two-yard slants.
Additionally, Garoppolo has missed several games this year, leaving Adams in the hands of backup quarterbacks Aidan O’Connell and Brian Hoyer.
The Raiders are looking like a long shot at making the playoffs this year, and may be better off trying to stack draft capital to rebuild their roster.
Adams is simply too good and too valuable to go to waste, and he could garner an impressive haul of players and draft picks if he were to be traded to a contender.
