Despite a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 7, Tyreek Hill still managed to have a big day on the field for the Miami Dolphins.
With the Dolphins trailing, Tua Tagovailoa leaned on Hill to get the team back on track and the receiver did his best as he recorded 11 receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown.
Miami saw Jaylen Waddle exit the game with a back injury, so Hill had to assume more of the burden in the passing game.
Although Waddle eventually returned in the second half, Hill was still Tagovailoa’s first read whenever he dropped back to pass.
However, Hill was a surprise addition to the Wednesday injury report as he did not practice with what the team is deeming a hip injury.
Although there’s still time for the star wideout to practice either Thursday or Friday, Tagovailoa addressed the possibility of not having Hill for their Week 8 showdown against the New England Patriots, via Dov Kleiman.
“If we couldn’t have Tyreek, that’d be tough, but the show goes on,” Tagovailoa said.

Tua talked about what the offense will do without him.

Losing Hill would be a massive blow for Tagovailoa and the rest of the offense as Hill has been their engine during the season.
Making matters more complicated is Waddle’s health as he could be limited with the back injury he sustained.
Mike McDaniel is a creative offensive mind who could probably scheme his way around a potential Hill absence, though the organization’s obvious preference is that the receiver is able to go against the Patriots.
For now, fans will have to wait and see if Hill is able to get back on the field in the next couple of days.
