The Seattle Seahawks are expected to have one of their best players back on the field on Sunday.
Star WR D.K. Metcalf missed the first game of his five-year NFL career last week, but it shouldn’t take long before he’s on the field again.
With a home game vs. the Cleveland Browns on deck, the former Ole Miss standout was on the field in pads and helmet to practice on a Wednesday for the first time since sustaining a rib injury in Week 2 vs. the Detroit Lions.
So, when asked about the extent of the hip injury that kept him on the shelf vs. the Arizona Cardinals, he refused to enter into details and urged the media to talk to HC Pete Carroll instead (via Aaron Levine).
DK Metcalf, on the extent of his hip injury: “They told me before I got up here I’m not supposed to talk about injuries. So that’s a Pete question.” #Seahawks

The wide receiver was listed as questionable for the divisional matchup and was expected to play after being a limited participant in Friday’s practice, but the team eventually decided to play it safe with him.
Coach Carroll later confirmed that Metcalf would — indeed — be back on the field to face the Browns, and he’ll look to start a new streak of games played after his streak of 71 was cut short on Sunday.
The Seahawks know the division is wide open, especially after the San Francisco 49ers dropped two games in a row.
That’s why they cannot afford to waste any chances of fielding their best players, and more so against a Browns team that’s expected to have P.J. Walker instead of Deshaun Watson under center when they visit Lumen Field.
