The New York Giants spent a lot of money — way more than most teams would’ve advised them to — to have their “quarterback of the future.”
However, for the third straight week, Daniel Jones will not suit up to play for Brian Daboll’s team.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Tyrod Taylor will continue to serve as the team’s signal-caller when they face the New York Jets this Sunday.
For the third consecutive week, Giants’ QB Daniel Jones is out and Tyrod Taylor will start in his place.

Backup RB Gary Brightwell will also be out with a hamstring injury.
According to Daboll, doctors have yet to clear Jones for contact since he suffered a neck injury after a blindside sack vs. the Miami Dolphins.
However, an absent Jones might not be the worst thing to happen to the Giants.
They’ve looked significantly better with Taylor under center, so there may not be much of a rush to get Jones back on the field if they want to make a playoff push.
He led the Giants to a 14-7 win over their division rival, the Washington Commanders, throwing for two touchdown passes without any interceptions.
Taylor has yet to throw any so far this season.
As for Jones, he’s talked about feeling better and making progress, and he has been allowed to throw and participate in some individual drills, but there’s still no clear timetable for his potential return.
