Over the last few years, the Los Angeles Chargers have been dubbed one of the most talented teams in the NFL on both sides of the football, with a quarterback in Justin Herbert who could eventually become the league’s elite player at his position.
Unfortunately for the Chargers, this team fails to live up to expectations on an annual basis, with the team constantly falling short at the wrong times during the NFL regular season and when they reach the NFL playoffs.
This season appears to be no different, with the Chargers sporting a 2-4 record coming into Week 8’s matchup against the lowly Chicago Bears that just made easy work of the Las Vegas Raiders.
Heading into this matchup, the Chargers are heavily favored, and understandably so, but it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that they struggle against the Bears and lose a fifth game on the season.
Joy Taylor of FOX Sports believes that if the Chargers lose to the Bears for whatever reason, it will be disastrous for the franchise and the outlook for the rest of the season, via “Speak” on FS1.

Head coach Brandon Staley has seemingly been in the crosshairs all season long due to his questionable coaching, which has gone back a few years now.
If the Chargers do end up losing to the Bears, Staley might not have a job by Monday, as it would be the ideal time for the franchise’s brass to let him go.
A 2-5 start to the season with the roster that this team has is inexcusable, and Staley will likely be the fall guy.
