The National Football League has entered its pass-happy era.
The rules and the way the game is played favor the offense way more than the defense, and that sets the table for some video-game-like numbers for some quarterbacks and wide receivers.
Nonetheless, some still stand out from the rest of the pack.
With that in mind, former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky believes that A.J. Brown and Tyreek Hill are currently in a race to see who’s the best wide receiver in the game (via Get Up).

That’s a fair assessment, even though it’s hard to leave out guys like Justin Jefferson and Davante Adams.
Still, with Jefferson out for the foreseeable future and Adams stuck in Las Vegas, he could be right on point.
Hill has been the centerpiece of the Miami Dolphins’ explosive offense, logging more than 1,000 receiving yards and being on pace to be the first 2,000-yard receiver this game has ever seen.
All that while grabbing a league-leading eight touchdowns in as many games.
Brown, on the other hand, has become Jalen Hurts’ escape valve, dominating, man-handling, and overpowering every single defensive back he comes across.
While not as good a route-runner as Hill, Brown is perhaps the most physically imposing player at his position, always creating a mismatch and towering over his defenders.
Whatever the case, it seems like one couldn’t go wrong with either player, and while some fans might choose one over the other, any team in the league would love to have either of them.
