The San Francisco 49ers have now dropped three games in a row.
They started the season with five consecutive wins, but they now can’t seem to win without Deebo Samuel.
Needless to say, that has put a lot of pressure on Brock Purdy.
People have been ruthless in their criticism of Purdy, who they have called a “system QB” and a byproduct of the Niners’ offensive behemoth.
That’s not the case with Richard Sherman, though.

In his latest appearance on “Undisputed,” the former Niners defensive back stated that he cannot ignore the good things Purdy did and just focus on the bad things.
He stated that Purdy was effective and efficient early in the game, and while there are a couple of plays he would definitely love to get back, he’s been mostly good.
That’s a fair assessment, and it’s true that insiders shouldn’t focus just on the negative.
Nonetheless, it’s been the third week in a row that Purdy turned the ball over in crucial moments of the game.
Context matters.
Sometimes, players play well despite having two interceptions.
But turning the ball over when the game is on the line will obviously make most people put the blame on you.
Of course, we’re talking about a team sport, and one guy cannot be to blame for the whole loss, in the same sense he cannot get all the credit for the win.
