The New York Giants will get a boost ahead of Sunday’s clash vs. the Las Vegas Raiders.
As confirmed by himself during an appearance on Tuesday’s edition of “Up & Adams,” Daniel Jones is on track to make his return to the field next weekend.
Jones stated that he’s feeling better and is ready to go and fully cleared to play vs. the Raiders (via Dov Kleiman).
Update: #Giants QB Daniel Jones says he’ll play Week 9 against the #Raiders on Sunday:
“I’m cleared. I’m ready to go. Barring any setbacks this week, I’ll be ready to go” for the Raiders in Las Vegas on Sunday.

This couldn’t have happened at a better time for the G-Men.
Backup QB Tyrod Taylor suffered a rib injury against the New York Jets and had to be rushed to the hospital.
Undrafted rookie Tommy DeVito had to take the reins of the offense for the remainder of the game, with Saquon Barkley logging a career-high 36 carries while the team threw for a franchise-worst minus-9 passing yards.
Jones was reportedly cleared for contact just a couple of hours before the game, but it was all too sudden to rush him back onto the field.
The Giants have been quite cautious with their franchise quarterback, as he had already missed an extended period of time with a neck injury.
While Jones clarified it wasn’t the same kind of ailment, they still wanted to avoid any unnecessary risks.
Brian Daboll’s team is 2-6 and unlikely to make the playoffs this season.
Jones hasn’t lived up to the expectations after getting a $160 million contract extension in the offseason, and the Giants look like a mere shadow of the team that won a playoff game on the road just a year ago.
