The Texas Rangers won Game 3 of the World Series against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday.
The game, played at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, represented another test on the road that the Rangers passed with honors.
In the 2023 postseason, the Rangers are 11-4, with three losses coming against the Houston Astros and the remaining one against the D-Backs.
At home, they are 2-4, winning one against the Baltimore Orioles and one vs. the Diamondbacks.
On the road, however, Texas is an incredible 9-0 heading to the all-important Game 4 on Tuesday.
They won the first two on the road against the Tampa Bay Rays in the Wild Card round, then two more vs. the Baltimore Orioles in the Division Series.
All four AL Championship Series victories against the Astros were in Houston, and in the first game at Chase Field during World Series play, they took it, too.
As you can probably imagine, no team in MLB history has done what the Rangers just did.
“RANGERS TAKE GAME 3. They’re the first team in MLB history to win 9 straight road postseason games,” ESPN tweeted.

Winning on the road is very difficult in any professional sport, let alone in the final instances of a season.
Now, doing it nine times without losing a single game is nothing short of amazing.
It’s odd: the Rangers can’t consistently win at home, but they are, truly, road warriors.
It seems like they played more relaxed and loose and this helps them considerably.
The Rangers have two more games to play at Chase Field.
If they win them, they will be World Series champs for the first time in their history.
