Dak Prescott, the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, has been a polarizing player for some time now.
He has made the Pro Bowl twice, but since his last such nod in 2018, he has been accused of not elevating his game or even playing poorly in big games and in the playoffs.
But since his disastrous performance in Week 5 versus the San Francisco 49ers in which he threw three interceptions, he has played better, and so has his team.
This weekend, the Cowboys will have the opportunity to make a big statement when they visit the Philadelphia Eagles, and Eagles defensive coordinator Sean Desai talked about how Prescott has been playing better, per Jon Machota.
Eagles DC Sean Desai on what he has seen from Dak Prescott this year: “Yeah, kind of like what he’s been in the bulk of his career in terms of he’s operating in a highly efficient way right now, getting the ball out fast and he’s decisive with where he wants to go with the ball…

This past Sunday, the signal-caller completed 25 of 31 pass attempts and threw for 304 yards and four touchdowns as Dallas blew out the Los Angeles Rams, 43-20.
He may not end up making the Pro Bowl for a third time this year, but on the season, he has completed 71.0 percent of his passes, which is second in the NFL, while throwing 10 touchdown passes.
He is at five interceptions through seven games after throwing a league-high 15 picks in just 12 games last year.
The Cowboys currently have a 5-2 record, which is certainly strong, but the Eagles have pro football’s best record at 7-1, and a win this Sunday would go a long way in proving that they’re legitimate Super Bowl contenders.
While they didn’t make any deadline day trades, they should have what they need to make a run at the Vince Lombardi Trophy — if Prescott plays up to his ability in big games.
