It has been a tough week for the Las Vegas Raiders.
After losing to the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football, many around the league expected them to be sellers at the trade deadline.
However, the trade deadline came and went without any moves by this team, which was seen as a questionable decision given their current standing.
While analysts were left wondering why the Raiders failed to make any moves, a change in the night might have shed some light on the situation.
According to Adam Schefter, the Raiders have fired both Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler.

McDaniels was supposed to institute change for the Raiders.
A protege of Bill Belichick from his time with the New England Patriots, McDaniels’ defensive mind was supposed to help the Raiders get out of their rut.
However, the Raiders only won 9 of their 25 games under McDaniels.
Fans were calling for his head after the 2022 season, but the front office was adamant about keeping him.
Now, just eight games into the 2023 campaign, that same front office has seen enough.
McDaniels is out the door, leaving former linebackers coach Antonio Pierce as their interim.
What this means for the Raiders for the rest of the season remains to be seen.
With a 3-5 record, it will be difficult for the Raiders to make a playoff push, even if Pierce proves to be a legitimately good coach.
The Raiders will see what they can do with Pierce at the helm while they wait to make any additional decisions about their future.
