The Minnesota Vikings were in the midst of their best stretch of the season.
Then, Kirk Cousins suffered a season-ending Achilles injury, sounding off the alarms on Kevin O’Connell’s team once again.
Cousins was having the best season of his career, throwing for a league-leading 18 touchdowns.
The most impressive part about his numbers was that most of them came with Justin Jefferson sidelined with an injury.
But even though Jefferson has been away from the team recently, that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been keeping tabs on everything that’s going on.
That’s why he took to Twitter to show his love for his quarterback, as Cousins shared a picture and update of his recovery after undergoing surgery.

Jefferson’s chemistry with Cousins has been there since day one, at least on the field.
The Vikings have now traded for Joshua Dobbs, and he’ll be without arguably the best wide receiver in the game for quite a while.
There were some rumors about Jefferson not coming back from his injury until after the Vikings’ bye week.
He has little to no incentive to rush his way back to the field if the Vikings fail to keep this momentum going with Dobbs.
That’s especially true considering the fact that Jefferson failed to reach an agreement on a contract extension, and extension talks have reportedly been tabled until after the season.
Winning the division seemed like a long shot, even with Cousins playing at this level, so their hopes of doing that now should be close to zero.
