The Texas Rangers lost 102 games in 2021 and 94 last year.
Yes, they made sizable investments in the last two offseasons and were supposed to be much better in 2023.
World Series champions?
That was probably too optimistic in the minds of most.
But here we are, with the Rangers celebrating their first World Series title in franchise history after taking three straight games in Arizona against the Diamondbacks.
Fans, of course, were an important part of the process.
There was a sizable contingent of Rangers fans at Chase Field for Game 5, and supporters gathered at Texas Live! to watch the game.
MLB on FOX posted the video of the final out and the celebrations at Texas Live! and we can see how much this fanbase wanted a championship.

They tried in 2010 and 2011, losing consecutive World Series against the San Francisco Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Then, they entered a dark period from 2017 to 2022 but now, in Bruce Bochy’s first season as a manager, they won it all.
They dominated the AL West until the second half, and lost the division crown in the last weekend.
They did finish with a 90-72 record though, enough to make it into October.
There, they eliminated the Tampa Bay Rays, the Baltimore Orioles, the Houston Astros, and the Diamondbacks in that order.
Everything is happiness in the Lone Star state, and deservedly so.
The Rangers are a deep, talented, and extremely productive offensive team with good pitchers and high-leverage relievers.
They bet on winning, and they did.
