Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill has been the best wide receiver in the league this season.
He’s well on pace to break the all-time single-season record and become the first-ever 2,000-yard receiver, all while leading the league in receiving yards by a wide margin.
Nonetheless, when asked about his chances of winning MVP, he jokingly stated that there was a more important player on the team, and that guy was fullback Alec Ingold (via Jeff Darlington).
Tyreek Hill is asked about being in the MVP race: “No. We have a player on this team that’s better than me. And means more to this team than me. And his name… is (fullback) Alec Ingold.”

All jokes aside, this pretty much means that Hill believes QB Tua Tagovailoa has a better chance to win the award.
The young QB is currently leading the league in passing yards (2,416), passing touchdowns (18), and QB rating (108.7).
The Dolphins have a 6-2 record, and it looks like Tua has made everybody around him better.
Hill is coming off a season in which he posted career highs in receptions (119) and receiving yards (1,710), and while he’s been the most explosive wideout in the game for a while, Tua has also connected on some deep throws.
The media has had a lot to say about Tagovailoa and whether he was a starting-caliber QB in the past.
But he continues to prove that he’s more than made for the job, and it’s time to turn the narrative around and finally give him props as the MVP candidate he is.
