The Texas Rangers did it: after playing in MLB under that name since 1972, the franchise finally won its first World Series title.
They got the best of the Arizona Diamondbacks in five games to lift the trophy.
The city of Texas has been celebrating ever since: players had their time at Chase Field immediately after winning the trophy and then in the clubhouse.
However, a professional team always has to celebrate at home, with their fans.
That’s why the city of Arlington, Texas, will host an impressive parade for the champs on Friday.

The parade was set to start at 12:15 p.m. ET on Friday, local time.
According to WFAA, it is “going along a 1.9-mile route from Globe Life Field, past AT&T Stadium and Choctaw Stadium, and then back around to Globe Field Field. Then the team will host a rally and celebration on the north plaza of the stadium, near Texas Live!”.
The estimates by the Arlington Fire Department are between 500,000 and 700,000 for the parade.
Arlington’s population is around 400,000 people.
As you can see, not only Arlington, but nearby cities and communities are ecstatic about the Rangers’ first World Series title.
The organization came close in 2010 and 2011, but lost consecutive World Series.
To win the Fall Classic, the Rangers had to eliminate the Tampa Bay Rays, the Baltimore Orioles, the Houston Astros, and the Diamondbacks in straight series.
It was certainly a tough road and we are not even including their 90 wins in regular-season play.
They deserve to celebrate at home with their people, and are about to do just that.
