This weekend, Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill will get to face his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs, for the first time since he was traded during the 2022 offseason.
Unfortunately, Hill won’t be returning to Kansas City’s home stadium, as Sunday’s contest will be taking place in Frankfurt, Germany.
Still, the veteran wide receiver will likely have a bunch of emotions heading into the matchup against his former team.
As his current team, the Dolphins, prepare for the game, Hill recently revealed the biggest tip he shared with his Miami teammates when it comes to slowing down the Chiefs offense (via Shawn Kopelakis on Twitter).
“Just find [Travis] Kelce.”
Tyreek Hill said his advice to the defense this week has been “just find Kelce”. Said when he was in KC, they had a whole PowerPoint on what to do when Mahomes starts moving around. Laughed and said “just find Kelce”. pic.twitter.com/Jwoajo3x6v

Stopping Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce seems like a simple enough strategy, but teams around the NFL have struggled to do this ever since Patrick Mahomes was named the Chiefs’ full-time starting quarterback in 2018.
After a bit of a slow start to the season, Kelce has gained over 100 receiving yards in two of his last three games, and he’s on pace to set a new single-season career high for receptions.
As for Hill, he got off to a blazing start back in Week 1 when he caught 11 passes for 215 yards and two scores in Miami’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Now, after eight games, the former Kansas City wide receiver has already accumulated 61 catches for 1,014 yards and eight touchdowns.
So for as much as the Dolphins will have to worry about slowing down Kelce on Sunday, the Chiefs are going to have their hands full when they attempt prevent Hill from zipping right by them.
