The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off a stunning 24-9 loss last weekend to the Denver Broncos, and they have a statement game this weekend against the high-octane Miami Dolphins.
While it will be an opportunity for the Dolphins to prove they’re true Super Bowl contenders, it is also a game the Chiefs need, as they have their own questions surrounding their own Super Bowl hopes.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been nursing a left hand injury this week, but per Mackenzie Webb, he says it should be fine for Sunday’s contest.
Patrick Mahomes talks about his health status and an update on the gashes on his left hand.
“I’m feeling perfectly fine. I got back pretty quickly and the hand is fine, I just have to cover it up for some practices but I don’t think I’ll have much of anything on it for the…

Mahomes has gotten off to a somewhat mediocre start, at least by his standards, this season, but he did complete 32 of 42 passes for 424 yards and four touchdowns in Kansas City’s last win, which came in Week 7 over the Los Angeles Chargers.
On the season so far, he has completed 68.8 percent of his passes and thrown for 2,257 yards, 15 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.
His 2.6 percent interception rate this season is his highest ever as a full-time starter in the NFL.
While the Chiefs are 6-2, some are concerned about their lack of a bona fide threat at wide receiver — none of their wideouts have reached 400 receiving yards yet this season, and it has placed lots of pressure on star tight end Travis Kelce.
Last year, JuJu Smith-Schuster provided enough of a spark at wideout for the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl, and prior to that, they had a bona fide star there in Tyreek Hill.
Hill is now a member of the Dolphins, and he will face his old teammates this weekend.
