The New York Jets had high expectations coming into this season.
Everyone wanted to see how they would perform in their first year with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback.
Unfortunately, Rodgers’ season as a Jet only lasted for four plays.
On the first drive of the year, Rodgers tore his Achilles tendon and was ruled out for the remainder of the season.
However, Rodgers has been healing at an incredible rate, and he even thinks he can come back and play at the end of the year.
There are not many injuries worse than a torn Achilles, and every player who has suffered one before Rodgers has missed the rest of the season.
But, if he thinks he can defy history, more power to him.
One NFL analyst, however, is tired of hearing Rodgers say he will be coming back.
According to Craig Carton: “Aaron Rodgers is not going to play a single game for the New York Jets this season. This HAS to stop,” (via the Carton Show).

Rodgers has technically played in one game, but Carton is referring to not playing another game this season, post-injury.
Rodgers has been in the spotlight his entire career, and he no doubt misses not being the center of attention in his first season in New York.
Each week we will probably see Rodgers on the field more and more.
He was even warming up and throwing the ball around before Monday night’s game.
But him telling people that he may be back in “a few weeks” seems completely unrealistic.
Even if Rodgers pushes to play again this year, his Achilles may not heal fast enough to make that happen.
