The Dallas Cowboys are always looking to improve their roster.
At least when the cost is low and there is minimal risk.
Dallas did nothing at the trade deadline to the chagrin of their fans.
Well, the Cowboys front office is trying to add some firepower to their offense by signing former Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant.

Bryant will start on the practice squad and they can activate him to the active roster whenever.

This is a lottery ticket move by Dallas, as no one knows what Bryant will look like in practice.
But, it cost them almost nothing to add him to the practice squad.
The Cowboys already have wide receivers CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, and Michael Gallup.
But, their offense has had a hard time getting Cooks involved and Gallup looks like a shell of his younger self.
Maybe the Cowboys are looking for more size and speed at receiver and Bryant can bring both of those things.
