The San Francisco 49ers made one of the biggest moves in the NFL at the trade deadline.
They acquired Chase Young from the Washington Commanders, one of the league’s most promising talents at his position when healthy.
Assuming he is fully healthy, Young should provide a spark to a team that has lost three straight games.
While his initial role on the team was unknown at the time of his trade, Kyle Shanahan has recently revealed a game plan.
According to reporter Tracy Sandler, Shanahan said that Young is slated to have a large role in his first week with the team.

The 49ers’ upcoming matchup is with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are currently riding a five-game winning streak.
During this streak, the Jaguars have taken down the likes of the Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Indianapolis Colts.
Trevor Lawrence has taken the next step as the Jaguars’ leader under center and could prove to be a tough test for the 49ers’ defensive line.
However, Shanahan and the 49ers have made it abundantly clear that losing their fourth game in a row is not an option.
They will do whatever it takes to come away from this game with a win, and Young seems up to the task.
The 49ers routinely have one of the best defenses in the NFL.
Adding Young was a sign that they could use an additional piece to help them be the best possible unit.
Can he stay healthy enough throughout the year to make a big difference?
