The Dallas Cowboys were a highly-debated team during the offseason, a trend that has continued into the regular season.
Despite their record of 5-3, many analysts and fans aren’t sold on this team, particularly when looking at their quarterback.
Dak Prescott is one of the most polarizing quarterbacks in the league.
In a recent appearance on The Carton Show, analyst Willie Colon spoke highly of Prescott, a contrarian viewpoint from much of mainstream media.
“The Cowboys wouldn’t be in the same position to compete year after year if it wasn’t for Dak,” Colon said.
“The Cowboys wouldn’t be in the same position to compete year after year if it wasn’t for Dak. Dak is a GOOD quarterback.”

Colon believes that Prescott is not hindering the Cowboys, but rather, is the reason for their continued success.
The Cowboys haven’t made a significant playoff run since the 1990s, which has caused quite a fuss among their fanbase and standing in the media.
For an organization that is supposed to be “America’s Team,” the Cowboys have not lived up to the massive expectations placed upon them.
They have spent significant draft capital and tied up money in contracts hoping to surround Prescott with the necessary team to go the distance.
It will be interesting to see what happens with this team for the rest of the season.
If Prescott can string together significant wins during the back half of the year, the narrative around him and the Cowboys will change.
However, if recent trends persist and the team falls short again this season, the conversation surrounding Prescott might get increasingly louder and more judgmental during the offseason.
