Ever since the Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl a few years ago, with Matthew Stafford leading the way under center and Sean McVay calling the shots on the sideline, nothing has gone right for the storied franchise as it has been one disappointing season after another in the City of Angels.
The Rams haven’t been able to put it together on the gridiron since lifting the Vince Lombardi Trophy, as the team has been torn apart by injuries as well as some questionable trades sending key players to other teams.
With the 2023 NFL season looking like it is heading toward a disappointing end for the Rams, with injuries a problem once again and the losses piling up, Pat McAfee felt inclined to ask Stafford whether retirement has been something he might be considering moving forward.
Stafford didn’t hesitate to explain his reasoning for not considering retirement at the moment, as he still loves the game and the camaraderie in the locker room in Los Angeles, via The Pat McAfee Show.

Even though Stafford says that he enjoys playing too much to hang it up right now, the veteran quarterback has really struggled to stay healthy during his stint with the Rams and might be forced to make a decision in the near future as a result.
The Rams are currently sitting at 3-6 on the season with a somewhat tough schedule ahead, as they’ll face the Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, and San Francisco 49ers before they make it through.
