Since entering the NFL back in 2018, when he was drafted with the second overall pick by the New York Giants, Saquon Barkley has proven time and time again to be one of the most talented running backs in the entire league.
In addition to his work on the field with the Giants, Barkley has also been able to make an impact off of the field.
On Friday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter revealed that the New York running back is this week’s recipient of the NFLPA Community MVP.

According to Schefter, Barkley recently visited “a homeless camp in the woods of Allentown, Pennsylvania, to hear their stories and donate essential items for the upcoming winter months.”
So even though the 2023 season for the talented running back and the rest of his Giants teammates has gone poorly so far, Barkley has still remained committed to making a positive impact in the community.
After nine games this year, the Giants have an embarrassing 2-7 record, and the chances of the team returning to the playoffs for the second straight season are very, very low.
Barkley has appeared in six of New York’s games this season, and during his time on the field, he’s rushed for 502 yards and one touchdown in addition to hauling in 22 passes for 110 yards and two scores.
The Giants running back is on pace to finish the season with at least 1,000 rushing yards for the fourth time in his six years in the league.
But despite this possible accomplishment, it seems like Barkley and the rest of his New York teammates will be left on the outside of the playoffs this season.
