Coming into the 2023 NFL season, four rookie quarterbacks were looking to make a name for themselves on the professional level, with Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Will Levis all potentially set to become franchise players.
Although it took some time, all four of these players have become starters of their respective teams, but the results have not been what was expected heading into Week 1.
The Carolina Panthers‘ new starting quarterback was thought to be the most NFL-ready quarterback of the four, but that hasn’t turned out to be the case, with Stroud being the cream of the crop, followed by Richardson, Levis and the No. 1 overall pick trailing behind.
Even though Levis has only played two games for the Tennessee Titans, he’s already shown more promise than Young while Stroud is a legitimate superstar in the making and Richardson might be as well, even though his season is already over due to injury.
Obviously, Young is a rookie with plenty of time to turn it around, especially considering Trevor Lawrence of the Jacksonville Jaguars went through the same rough first year in the NFL via NFL on CBS.

Things got so bad for Lawrence in Jacksonville that many started to question whether he’d be able to turn it around, but once Urban Meyer was out of the picture, he began to show the league why everyone was so high on him coming out of college.
Lawrence is now a legitimate star in the NFL, which might give some hope to Young and Panthers fans that next season might be much different.
