The New York Jets were among the most discussed teams in the NFL during the offseason.
Aaron Rodgers was the talk of the town, as the team traded for him hoping he could make a difference on their roster.
However, he tore his Achilles in Week 1, which was seemingly a death sentence for his 2023 campaign with the Jets.
In recent weeks, there have been increasing rumors that Rodgers thinks he can return to play in the back half of the year.
Rodgers confirmed this recently according to reporter Melinda Stark, as he is allegedly eyeing a mid-December return.

With a potential return date on the calendar, Jets fans might be filled with life and anticipation over the next several weeks.
However, for Rodgers to make a return so quickly from an Achilles injury, the Jets need to stay in playoff contention.
If they continue to lose games, it might not make sense for Rodgers to return late in the season, especially if they are knocked out of the postseason.
The Jets are currently 4-5 after their primetime loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
Their next three games are against the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and Atlanta Falcons.
If they can come away from this three-game stretch with a record of 6-6 or better, things might look upward for Rodgers’ potential return.
But, if the Jets lose two or more of these games, it would likely spell the end of their fairytale run given the current state of the AFC.
Will Zach Wilson find it within him to keep the Jets on pace?
