The New York Jets dropped back-to-back games after three straight wins.
Robert Saleh’s team is back below .500 and with the AFC picture looking brutal for their postseason aspirations.
Once again, they had a chance to win, but a crucial mistake at the worst possible time by Zach Wilson set them back.
Wilson threw a pick inside the Las Vegas Raiders’ 15-yard line on a drive that could’ve given them the lead late in the game.
Following the loss, the former No. 2 pick voiced his frustration after another loss (via Harrison Glaser).
Zach Wilson is asked about the frustration with the #Jets offense moving the ball but committing penalties at the worst times:
“So much frustration. I don’t know how to put it any other way. I don’t know if people saw that I was frustrated on the sideline, in a good way, I mean… pic.twitter.com/gzCmSkePT4

Wilson also talked about the countless penalties and how most of their big plays often get called back because of them.
The Jets lacked discipline again in the loss, having eight penalties for over 80 yards.
Add their struggles to take care of business in the final 20 yards, and you know why they haven’t been able to find success this season.
Once again, they had to settle for just four field goals, struggling to run the football and looking sluggish in the final quarter on the field.
You need to score points if you want to win football games; it’s as simple as that.
Their defense is one of the best in the league and they can always flip the field and give the offense a chance to win.
But putting up 12 points on the Raiders is just unacceptable for a team that’s still trying to make the playoffs and be a legitimate contender.
