With half of the season still left, Arizona Cardinals star Kyler Murray has a lot to prove.
He might be auditioning to keep his job in the desert or even for other teams to consider making a move on him.
Notably, he looked extra motivated in his first back after suffering a torn ACL last season.
He had a chance to lead his team to a win with just under 3 minutes to play, setting up the game-winning field goal and showing that he hasn’t missed his quick twitch and acceleration, scrambling for 13 yards for a crucial first-down.
Following the win, Murray told the media that all he cared about was getting the win, although he did acknowledge that it was a bit of a movie-like ending for his long-awaited comeback (via Darren Urban).

Murray completed 19 of 32 passes for 249 yards and one pick.
He also added six carries for 33 yards and one score, having the second-most rushing yards on his team behind only James Conner (73).
There has been a lot of talk about Murray’s leadership — or lack thereof.
He seems to have made himself some enemies within the organization, and all eyes will be on him and his temper for the remainder of the season.
Winning a lot of games might not be in the Cardinals’ best interests, as they could end up having a top-3 pick.
However, Murray knows his replacement could come from that pick, so he should be extra motivated to make sure they don’t end up with one of the worst records in the league.
