The public opinion of the Dallas Cowboys seems to change every week.
When they win, it seems to solve any woes or criticisms they faced leading up to the game.
When they lose, however, it feels like the Cowboys’ season is over based on the doom and gloom response from fans and analysts alike.
After the Cowboys’ recent dominant win over the New York Giants, offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer made sure to give credit where it was due.
Schottenheimer talked at length about Dak Prescott’s ability to lead the offense, saying, “He’s being decisive, he’s not putting the ball in harm’s way very often.”
Cowboys OC Brian Schottenheimer on what has impressed him most about Dak Prescott’s play over the last four games: “I think it’s the decision-making. … He’s really seeing the field well. He’s going through his progressions, he’s being decisive, he’s not putting the ball in… pic.twitter.com/3zBXkwKdbB

Schottenheimer also said that Prescott is “in total command.”
If this is the genuine belief that Prescott’s teammates and coaches have about him in the locker room, it might be a sign that the 2023 season is different.
Prescott received significant criticism from analysts across the league after his less-than-ideal performance in the 2022 playoffs.
It has been said that Prescott is a great quarterback in the regular season but fails to deliver when his team needs him most.
However, one of the biggest knocks on Prescott last year was his propensity to turn the ball over, particularly by way of interceptions.
He seems to have mitigated this concern greatly as of late, only throwing six interceptions on the year compared to last year’s 15.
Fans will have to wait and see if Prescott can keep playing mistake-free football, hoping to lead the Cowboys to bigger and better things.
