The Texas Rangers made MLB history in 2023, winning their first World Series title.
They dominated the Arizona Diamondbacks in the Fall Classic, but had a epic battle with the Houston Astros before that in the American League Championship Series.
They also eliminated the Tampa Bay Rays and the Baltimore Orioles and made thousands of fans around the country with their successful playoff run.
Now, a lot of people want to watch the World Series champs.
Fans will get to do that on Opening Day 2024, and they will be playing against another exciting team.
“The #WorldSeries champion Texas @Rangers will kick off their title defense in 2024 against the @Cubs on @ESPN,” the league’s official Twitter account wrote.

The Chicago Cubs are one of the most traditional franchises in the league, with a huge fanbase and a surging project.
They have money to spend, they have one of the best farm systems in the league, and just signed an elite manager to lead them in Craig Counsell.
There are lots of reasons to watch the Cubs, and the Rangers are an obvious yes, too.
That’s why schedule-makers put the two teams together.
The Cubs will be looking to make the postseason in 2024, having just missed the 2023 edition with an 83-79 record.
Odds are that they will be much, much better in 2024, particularly if they manage to find a way to retain Cody Bellinger.
The game against Texas will be a must-watch matchup, a battle of surging powerhouses who could dominate the league for the next five years.
