The Denver Broncos would like a word with all the naysayers.
Winners of three consecutive games, Sean Payton’s team has finally found its groove and it’s looking like a legit threat out of the AFC West.
Their defense has been as good as advertised before the start of the season, and Russell Wilson and the offense are finally picking up the slack.
That’s why NFL analyst David Jacoby took to The Carton Show with a Russell Wilson apology form posted by Courtland Sutton, so all the panelists could fill it in and formally apologize to the former Super Bowl champion for all the criticism.
Courtland Sutton posted a “Russell Wilson Apology Form” after the Broncos beat the Bills.
“Russell Wilson threw the ball 29 times. He didn’t throw for 200 yards. Why am I apologizing for my criticism on Russell Wilson who’s a franchise quarterback? He stinks!” — @craigcartonlive pic.twitter.com/wKZ5ui7Wj4

Some people really do owe him an apology — he’s been great this season. pic.twitter.com/f04cjSRmsW

However, Craig Carton claimed to be unimpressed by him still, stating that he didn’t even throw the football more than 30 times or for over 200 yards in his last outing, and adding that he still stinks.
Truth be told, Wilson was far from his best last season, and he was probably the most disappointing player in the entire league.
But he’s bounced back this season, and even if he isn’t putting up video game-like numbers, he’s getting the job done.
We saw some vintage Russell Wilson last week, extending plays with his feet and making good reads to hit his receivers in stride.
Wilson will no longer be a top-tier quarterback at this point in his career, and chances are that he’s going to be overpaid until the final year of his new contract.
Then again, he’s been playing at a high level lately, and the apology should be as loud as the disrespect was.
