Juventus, the titans of Italian football, have reportedly set their sights on the promising 20-year-old Valencia defender, Cristhian Mosquera, as part of their strategy to bolster their defence. According to insider sources from JuveFC, the club views the acquisition of Mosquera as a crucial strategic move.
At present, Mosquera is contractually tied to Valencia until 2026. However, a deadlock in contract renewal discussions seems to have opened up possibilities for a move. It is reported that initial negotiations between Juventus representatives and Mosquera’s team have led to a tentative agreement. The transfer could see Juventus parting with a sum of between 25 and 30 million euros.
However, the Turin-based club isn’t zeroing in on Mosquera alone as part of its transfer strategy. Juventus’ scouting network is also keeping a close eye on Como’s dynamic duo, Patrick Cutrone and Nico Paz.
Patrick Cutrone, a product of AC Milan’s youth academy, has gained a considerable fan base in Italy. Known for his relentless goal-scoring abilities, his stellar performances for Como during the 2022-2023 season have once again brought him into the limelight. Juventus is reportedly planning to bring Cutrone on board to infuse vitality and experience to their attacking line-up.
Nico Paz, the young Argentine talent, is another player on Juventus’s radar. A product of Real Madrid’s youth academy, La Fabrica, Paz has been turning heads with his technical prowess and game intelligence. His standout performances during the 2024-2025 season have sparked speculations of a potential new era in Juventus’ midfield with his inclusion.
However, it is Cristhian Mosquera who appears to be the closest to donning the Juventus jersey. The highly-rated 20-year-old’s potential move to Juventus, following an agreement with his representatives, is seen as an exciting development.
