The New York Jets were dealt a major blow this season.
They were thinking about parades and divisional banners before Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles just four plays into the season.
But with Rodgers targeting a mid-December return at the earliest and being a lock to be ready for the start of the upcoming campaign, the front office is already making plans for the offseason.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN (via Bleacher Report), the Jets will look to acquire superstar WR Davante Adams in hopes of reuniting him with Rodgers.
Jets are expected to pursue a trade for Davante Adams this offseason in hopes to reunite him with Aaron Rodgers, per @AdamSchefter

Adams and Rodgers were one of the prime QB-WR duos in the league for years during his days with the Green Bay Packers.
Adams pursued a trade to the Las Vegas Raiders to play with his college QB and best friend, Derek Carr, but with Carr no longer on the team, things haven’t been the same for the Fresno State product.
The All-Pro wideout was livid at the Raiders for not getting him involved in the passing game, voicing his frustration multiple times throughout the course of the season.
The Raiders have — unsurprisingly — fared much better since Josh McDaniels’ firing, but their QB situation is still murky, at best.
That means Adams would love a change of scenery, and playing for one of the greatest QBs of all time and a close friend again would only make it all the more exciting.
The Jets will need to improve that offensive line, but adding Adams would make them an even bigger contender.
