This has been a lost season for the Green Bay Packers, as they hold a 4-6 record even though they defeated the Los Angeles Chargers, 23-20, on Sunday.
New starting quarterback Jordan Love isn’t quite working out, at least so far, even though he completed 27 of 40 passes for 322 yards and two touchdowns against L.A.
But somehow, the Packers are in eighth place in the NFC, and if they somehow string together some wins the rest of the way, and especially if they somehow defeat the Minnesota Vikings on New Year’s Eve, perhaps they could do the unthinkable and challenge for a playoff spot.
They have made some roster moves by releasing Dallin Leavitt and Christian Young while adding Patrick Taylor and James Robinson, per Matt Schneidman.
The Packers have released safety and special teamer Dallin Leavitt.
They signed RB Patrick Taylor to the active roster and RB James Robinson to the practice squad.
They released LB Christian Young from the practice squad.

Leavitt went undrafted in 2018 out of Utah State University, and in two seasons with Green Bay, the safety has had a total of 15 tackles (eight solo) while playing almost all of his snaps on special teams.
Young, an undrafted rookie linebacker out of the University of Arizona, hasn’t played yet this season after the Packers signed him to their practice squad in early October.
Taylor, a running back who played his college ball at the University of Memphis, has had a total of 151 rushing yards, one touchdown, and an average of 3.4 yards per rush attempt in three years with the Packers.
Robinson was signed by Green Bay to be a part of their practice squad just over a month ago, making it the fourth team he has been a part of since last season, even though he hasn’t played at all this season.
