The Los Angeles Chargers cannot be taken as a serious contender right now, and that’s kind of crazy if you take a look at their roster.
Once again, Brandon Staley’s team has failed to live up to the expectations and their potential.
Moreover, no other team has struggled more in close games than them — again.
That’s why Scott Pioli debated the chances of him getting fired.
In the latest edition of “Good Morning Football,” the former GM admitted that he can’t seem to get a hold of why this team isn’t able to compete at a high level, although he did admit that he’s not as high on their roster as other people.

Pioli also stated that Justin Herbert hasn’t been able to produce as expected, which is not fair at all.
He does have some costly turnovers with the game on the line, but most of the decision-making from the coaching staff has been questionable, to say the least, especially in late-game situations.
The Chargers currently have five losses of three points or less, the most in the NFL by a significant margin.
Late-game execution has been an issue with this team for quite a while now, and the fact that Brandon Staley managed to stay put after blowing a huge lead in the playoffs last season makes us all think that he’s not going to get the benefit of the doubt anymore.
