The NFL MVP race is always one that is discussed during the season.
Each week, the odds for every player change depending on their performance.
The current favorite for league MVP is Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.
After the Eagles’ upset win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night, the odds flipped in Hurts’ favor.
But, one NFL analyst thinks Hurts is not deserving of the award.
Richard Sherman talked on “Undisputed” about how he does not see Hurts as the MVP favorite.
“I don’t see how Jalen Hurts is the MVP favorite right now.”

Sherman mentioned that Hurts is working with one of the best rosters in the NFL.
Also, his stats are not better than other quarterbacks around the league.
Hurts has a 15-9 touchdown to interception ratio and has thrown for 2,497 yards this year.
Where he adds value is in rushing, as he has 345 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns.
It is fair to say the only reason Hurts is the favorite for MVP is because his team is 9-1.
So voters will have to decide if the team’s success or individual impact is more important in the MVP race.
There are still seven weeks left in the regular season.
This means there is plenty of time for one of these players to separate themselves in the MVP race.
Some players to keep an eye on are Lamar Jackson, C.J. Stroud, Brock Purdy, and Dak Prescott.
Each has played very well this year and has comparable if not better stats than Hurts.
It will be interesting to see how this race shakes out over the remainder of the season.
