The Kansas City Chiefs may have beaten the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII, but the tables got turned on them in Week 11.
The Chiefs lost to the Eagles, 21-17, in what was surprisingly a defensive battle between two teams known for their scoring.
Kansas City and Philadelphia combined to score 38 points total and a large part of that was because Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts struggled to get anything going through the air.
The two teams know each other well after facing off less than a year ago, but the Eagles looked much more prepared to shut down what the Chiefs like to do.
Mahomes has struggled to make do with his bare-bones receiving corps, though he’s still got Travis Kelce to lean on.
Kelce managed to snag a touchdown but Nick Wright said he still needs to see more from the All-Pro tight end, via “First Things First.”
“Travis Kelce is right. He’s a legend. And he has to be better,” Wright said.

Kelce recorded seven receptions for 44 yards, but did fumble the football, which is a rarity for him.
As Wright points out, it’s cliche for star players to say they need to be better but in this case Kelce definitely can’t afford any slippage given the lack of other reliable receiving options.
Mahomes and Kelce are arguably the best duo in the league, but Kansas City can’t afford a subpar effort from either of them.
The offensive woes are concerning, though it would be a fool’s errand to bet against Kelce and the Chiefs at this point.
