Carson Wentz’s NFL career has been a true journey.
He was supposed to be a superstar, and it really seemed like he was going to be one before it all went downhill.
His final couple of stops before coming back with the Los Angeles Rams weren’t pretty at all, and chances are most people wouldn’t have wanted him as a starting QB anymore.
But we cannot ignore what he did and how special he looked in his prime.
That’s why it wasn’t surprising to see Seattle Seahawks young star Tariq Woolen reaching out to him after his game versus the Rams, greeting him and calling him a legend.
With that in mind, former player-turned-analyst Emmanuel Acho took to Twitter to remind everyone just how great Wentz was in his heyday.
Carson Wentz had 3 consecutive seasons with 21 or more touchdowns and 7 interceptions, including a 33TD season which set the @eagles up to win their 1st ever Super Bowl.
Wentz is the only QB in @NFL history to have 4K passing yards without a 500 yard WR. Prime Wentz was special https://t.co/u36s7PokLk

Acho pointed out that Wentz had three straight seasons with at least 21 or more touchdowns and no more than 7 interceptions, including a 33-touchdown season, which led the Philadelphia Eagles to their very first Super Bowl win in franchise history.
He also stated that Wentz was the first quarterback to throw for over 4,000 yards in a season without a 500-yard wide receiver.
Wentz was the leading MVP candidate and one of the best quarterbacks in the game during that Super Bowl-winning season before suffering that career-altering injury.
He was never back to that level and often tried to press and do more than what was asked of him.
But the talent was there, and no one could take anything away from him and what he accomplished.
